Abstract This study focused on disputes over the management of forest areas between Koto Gasib community and private sector (palm plantation companies), where company’s Cultivation rights overlapped with indigenous peoples their ulayat lands. The purpose this was to find a pattern dispute resolution use natural resources in customary law community. From results study, it can be concluded that is main factor caused by inequality control through HGU granted Government oil palm companies Industrial Plantation Forests (HTI) operating Gasib, permit issued claimed part area Pandan inner resource tends pursued non-litigation process involving various stakeholder roles local governments encouraging role traditional leaders region obtain an effective solution defend
